Hours: 27 hours per week (Term Time + 1 Week Immediate start available)
Salary: £26,486 - £28,756 actual salary (NJC Grade 5 £30,024-£32,597 FTE)
Working Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 07:15 - 15:15
- Friday: 07:15 - 14:45
- 40 weeks per year (term time + 1 flexible "floating" week)
A welcoming North Sheffield School is seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join as a Cover Manager / Administrator.

You'll take the lead on organising daily staff cover, ensuring lessons are always staffed and the school runs smoothly.
Alongside this, you'll support wider school administration, making you a key part of the school's operations team.
This is a fast paced role where organisation is critical - you'll be coordinating multiple moving parts and responding to last minute changes with confidence.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily staff cover for planned and unplanned absences
- Produce and distribute clear daily cover schedules
- Communicate with teaching staff and senior leaders
- React quickly to last-minute changes and staffing needsMaintain accurate records and admin systems
- Support wider administrative tasks across the school
- Highly organised and excellent at managing multiple tasks (essential)
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, ever changing environment
- Calm, reliable, and able to think on their feet
- A strong communicator who can work with a range of people
- Proactive and solutions focused
You do NOT need previous school experience. Ideal for candidates from admin, scheduling, coordination, logistics, or customer service roles.
