Cook/Chef

Overview
We are seeking a cook with experience for our fast pace cafe/Bistro in the heart of Formby Liverpool. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working in a face pace environment with a focus on food safety and kitchen management. As a cook/chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals, ensuring high standards of food preparation, working well with the staff and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is eager to help elevate our dining experience.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the menu and standards.
Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen.
Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items, showcasing creativity and innovation.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Manage kitchen staff effectively, providing guidance and support during meal preparation.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Maintain equipment in good working order, reporting any issues promptly.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Cook/Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant/cafe environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dishes that delight customers.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
