Job Description
The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Conveyancer to join one of our dynamic residential conveyancing teams. You will collaborate closely with a qualified Conveyancing Team Leader and Paralegal, working together within our team-based structure to advance transactions efficiently.

Although this is not a designated file-owner role, you will share responsibility for managing and progressing conveyancing transactions alongside the team leader, ensuring a smooth process from instruction to post-completion.

Key Responsibilities

Under supervision, you will undertake a diverse range of fee-earning conveyancing tasks, including:

  • Managing sale enquiries, liaising with clients and third parties, and arranging indemnity insurance where necessary.
  • Reviewing mortgage offers and searches.
  • Conducting title checks and raising enquiries on purchases.
  • Drafting clear and concise client reports.
  • Communicating with lenders regarding redemption figures, mortgage releases, and Certificates of Title.
  • Checking signed documentation before exchange and arranging deposit funds.
  • Preparing completion documentation, including completion statements, invoices, undertakings, and requesting client bank details.
  • Handling completion correspondence and notifying clients, estate agents, and other relevant parties.
  • Drafting Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) returns.
  • Managing Help to Buy documentation.
  • Assisting with all post-completion matters.
  • Keeping estate agents, clients, lenders, and solicitors regularly updated throughout the transaction.
  • Maintaining accurate case management records across multiple systems.
  • Supporting the team leader in managing referrer relationships.
  • Ensuring consistently high standards of client care.
What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing their own conveyancing caseload within a conveyancing firm or legal practise and be confident handling a broad range of residential property matters. You will be organised, proactive, and comfortable working within a collaborative team environment.

Why Join Us?

We offer the opportunity to develop your career within a large, multi-team conveyancing department, working alongside knowledgeable and experienced professionals. Our distinctive team structure fosters progression, knowledge sharing, and long-term career development within a friendly and supportive working environment.
