Control System Project Engineer

Control System Engineers in and around Nottingham/Derby - you are wanted!

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of an exciting systems integrator who work across all sorts of industrial automation projects - including (but not limited to) battery energy storage systems, water, and baggage handling. This role is based in the office, which is located between Nottingham and Derby.

There are multiple positions available for engineers who have experience with the full project lifecycle of control systems, taking them from URS/FDS, through to PLC programming, HMI development, and then overseeing commissioning and installation activities at the end (and everything inbetween).

What you'll be doing

• Building and delivering PLC and SCADA solutions from concept through to site handover
• Taking ownership across the full project lifecycle, including design, FAT/SAT and commissioning
• Developing and supporting industrial communications (PROFIBUS, PROFINET)
• Creating technical documentation and assisting with customer training
• Mostly office-based engineering, with occasional site work for commissioning

Experience they value

• Strong PLC programming background
• SCADA / HMI development experience
• Practical knowledge of control panels, electrical design and systems integration
• Confident commissioning and fault-finding on live sites
