Job Description

My client is a biotech company looking to appoint a Contract Manager (FTC until end February 2026).


The opportunity will provide a lot of autonomy working alongside the CFO.


The role will support purely on contract management and is high volume.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the drafting, review, and processing of standard agreements, including:
  • Confidentiality agreements (CDAs/NDAs)
  • Consultancy agreements
  • Clinical trial agreements (under supervision)
  • Master service agreements (MSAs)
  • Research collaboration and material transfer agreements (MTAs)
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts and monitor key dates (e.g. expiries, renewals, deliverables) via Contracts Management System (previous knowledge of DocuSign CLM preferred).
  • Support contract negotiations for all departments by preparing initial drafts, managing redlines, and tracking changes.
  • Help ensure contracts comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations (e.g. MHRA, GDPR) by coordinating review with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
  • Coordinate contract approval workflows (DocuSign CLM) and signatures using electronic platforms (DocuSign).
  • Liaise with internal departments (e.g. clinical, R&D, procurement, finance) to gather required information and ensure alignment on contractual matters.
  • Support the development and maintenance of standard templates and clause libraries.
  • Assist with contract audits, reports, and administrative tasks as needed.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a legal, contracts, or paralegal role, preferably in the life sciences or healthcare industry.
  • Basic understanding of contract law and standard commercial agreements.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to work with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and document editing tools; proficient in contract management system tools (DocuSign CLM is a plus).



This role will suit someone who is a self-starter, can hit the ground running and is comfortable and confident to work on their own in a very small team.
