What you will achieve:

As Interim Legal Manager, you will support a specialized sub-team of Senior Legal Counsels with regard to (public) procurement procedures.

You will provide both strategic and operational legal advice, assist in drafting, negotiating, and interpreting contracts, and play a key role in complex procurement processes. Additionally, you will offer legal support to other internal stakeholders based on the department's needs.

• You act as a legal advisor to your internal business partners within your areas of responsibility.
• You draft and maintain standard contracts within your areas of expertise, with attention to legal accuracy and practical applicability.
• You support Senior Management and the Executive Team in strategic projects by offering well-founded and pragmatic legal advice in line with applicable regulations.
• You closely monitor relevant legislation, legal doctrine, and case law within your area of specialization and translate this into concrete recommendations for the organization.

What sets you apart:

• You hold a Master's degree in Law.
• You have at least 5 years of relevant experience at a (medium to large) law firm and/or legal department, preferably in a complex and regulated environment. Experience in public procurement is essential.
• You have proven leadership qualities and know how to guide a team in a motivating and results-driven manner.
• You are well-versed in legal and regulatory matters, management reporting, and cross-departmental collaboration.
• You communicate clearly and professionally in Dutch, French, and English, and possess strong negotiation skills.
• You work in a structured, results-oriented way and are able to set priorities in a dynamic environment.
• You are client-focused, proactive, and seek pragmatic solutions to complex legal issues, always keeping the bigger picture in mind and clearly articulating your reasoning.
• You combine an analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex matters into clear conclusions.
• You are a team player and never hesitate to support a fellow legal colleague.
