Content Marketing Manager

Work Environment

• This role is predominantly work from home in the UK with occasional meet ups with the Marketing Team in London.

Role Overview

We're looking for a skilled content creator with a scientific background to join our commercial marketing team and lead the development of high-impact campaign materials. This role will own the creation of landing pages, brochures, email copy, and decks across our clinical and research product lines.

The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for structure, tone, and storytelling, and can translate complex topics into compelling, audience-ready content that lands for the first time .

This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in scientific or technical communication who can translate complex concepts into compelling marketing messages across varied channels and audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and structure marketing content including landing pages, brochures, decks, and campaign copy that meets brand, tone, and messaging standards.
• Own content from brief through delivery, working closely with design and leadership.
• Manage and execute marketing campaigns primarily through Hubspot.
• Identify opportunities for business scaling and customer acquisition; address market threats and opportunity gaps.
• Review and refine drafts using established frameworks (e.g., problem > solution > proof > CTA).
• Support company-wide content marketing initiatives by creating diverse content types and employing SEO strategies to boost organic visibility.
• Ensure content is right-first-time and meets stakeholder expectations without excessive rework.
• Participate in product launches, market research, and customer insight gathering to inform commercial strategies.
• Stay up-to-date on AI/LLM best practices to maximise efficiency across all marketing functions.
• Collaborate with product and commercial teams to extract insights and position them effectively.
• Regularly review high-performing examples and evolve content instinct over time.
• Translate complex scientific or technical information into engaging and digestible formats for non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• 3+ years in scientific marketing or content strategy , ideally within B2B SaaS, digital health, life sciences, or biotech.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in life sciences, biomedical sciences, or a related field . You need to "get" the science.
• Proven ability to craft polished, structured content , from value props to whitepapers.
• Strong editorial instincts - you know what to cut, where to lead with proof, and how to land a CTA.
• Familiarity with HubSpot, CRM tools, and digital marketing platforms .
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders, and a strong sense of ownership over your output.
• Excellent communication, time management, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot certification preferred) and familiarity with digital marketing platforms.
• Experience working in an organisation with a high bar for messaging quality and content clarity.
• Highly motivated with a proactive approach to making things happen to take advantage of opportunities or solve problems as they arise.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and travel for work as needed.

Desirable Traits

• Native fluency in scientific writing and messaging translation.
• Strong editorial judgement, able to remove unnecessary content and sharpen messaging instinctively.
• Comfort writing in a regulated or technical environment with tight brand control.
• Confident and responsive, with a knack for building customer relationships and working well in team settings.
• Experience managing multiple brands or product lines simultaneously.
• Familiarity with communicating clinical, biotech, or AI/ML-enabled solutions is a plus.
