Consultant Ophthalmologist with Interest in Paediatrics & Strabismus University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust

This role will support Paediatric services at Dorset County Hospital as we develop our One Dorset Ophthalmology service. The successful candidate will join our team of three current consultants with a Paediatric interest at UHD and collaborate closely to deliver services across the county.

Person Specification Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration
• Listed on the GMC Specialist Register or will be within 6 months of the interview date
• Higher degree MSc, MD, or PhD

Clinical Experience

• Evidence of clinical competency to perform the role
• Knowledge of UK hospitals

Management

• Knowledge of NHS structures and managing waiting lists

Audit & Clinical Governance

• Evidence of clinical audits and understanding of their role in improving medical practice
