About Relevent Football Partners

Relevent Football Partners (RFP) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Relevent, purpose-built to commercialise the UEFA men's club competitions globally. An independent entity, RFP is tasked with providing UC3 - the joint venture between UEFA and European Football Clubs (EFC) - strategic and sales support in the worldwide marketing and sale of media, sponsorship, and licensing rights for the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Youth League, and the UEFA Futsal Champions League.

Following the UC3 tender process, Relevent Football Partners was awarded the commercial rights to the UEFA men's club competitions (Champions League, Europa League and Conference League) on a global basis for the 2027 to 2033 cycle.

As such, Relevent Football Partners is now seeking to build a truly world class business focused on the monetisation of these commercial rights.

Position Summary

The Commercial Strategy Manager is a key member of the Sponsorship & Licensing team, playing a central role in shaping the commercial growth of UEFA Men's Club Competitions. At the forefront of new commercial projects, the role will define strategic direction with the aim of unlocking opportunities across one of the most valuable and high-profile sports properties in the world.

Contributing to a range of strategic initiatives, the Commercial Strategy Manager will provide thought leadership on critical commercial topics whilst managing a Commercial Strategy Executive to ensure high-quality delivery in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the assessment, business-casing, and financial modelling for commercial partnerships and revenue initiatives related to UEFA men's club competitions.
  • Provide strategy and project management support across the commercial partnerships team including; sales, licensing and partnership management.
  • Deliver clear and robust recommendations to UC3 on all elements of the continuing development of UEFA Men's Club Competitions and commercialisation of available rights inventory.
  • Prepare materials for internal meetings that clearly articulate evidence and concepts.
  • Be responsible for the on-going development and implementation of a prospecting sales strategy, ensuring a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects and contacts.
  • Support on ad-hoc strategy projects across the wider commercial department in a timely manner.
  • Provide thought leadership and stimulate thinking on critical issues that impact company success.
  • Directly line manage Commercial Strategy Executive, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback, and ensuring high performance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong academic foundation paired with experience in commercially focused, insight-led roles, preferably within sports marketing, sponsorship, media, or similarly fast-moving environments.
  • Strategic and creative thinker, able to articulate and translate complex concepts into concise, compelling stories supported by data and structured frameworks.
  • Ability to evaluate potential revenue opportunities whilst considering how they align with the overall strategy, culture and values of the wider business.
  • Confident communicator with proven ability to manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach, with the ability to identify opportunities, manage multiple projects and remain solutions orientated.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint essential).
  • Fluent English required; additional languages an advantage.
