At Hollis, we're continuing to expand our Quality, Health & Safety offering in response to increasing client demand. As part of this growth, we're looking for a Clerk of Works to join our team and play a key role in the delivery of projects across the North West on a fixed term basis until March 2027 (with possibility for extension).
This is an exciting opportunity to join a service that is growing rapidly and gaining significant traction across the business. This opportunity is focused on delivering high-quality site inspection and quality assurance services, working alongside our Project Management, Building Surveying and Fire Safety teams to help clients achieve successful project outcomes.
You'll spend your time on site, building trusted relationships with project teams, carrying out inspections, identifying issues before they become problems, and helping ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, compliance and safety.
Please note that this is a part time role working 3 days per week.
What you'll be doing- Undertaking regular site inspections to assess quality, workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
- Identifying defects, non conformities and health and safety risks, and monitoring their resolution.
- Acting as the go to for Clerk of Works services in the North West region, reporting to the service lead.
- Producing clear, concise inspection reports and maintaining accurate site records.
- Working closely with contractors, consultants and client teams to support effective project delivery.
- Collaborating with Hollis Project Managers, Building Surveyors and Fire Safety specialists to provide joined up advice and assurance.
- Supporting quality assurance initiatives and helping maintain the high standards our clients expect.
- Previous experience as a Clerk of Works, Site Inspector or in a similar construction quality role.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials and building regulations.
- Experience identifying and reporting construction defects and quality issues.
- An understanding of fire safety compliance and passive fire protection systems.
- Knowledge of CDM 2015 and relevant health and safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Relevant qualifications such as ICWCI membership, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, HNC/HND in Construction, or equivalent.
