Job Description
Clerk at the Court of Public Law Job Description Are you interested in the judicial field? Are you particularly motivated to draft judicial decisions and collaborate in a higher judicial instance? As the higher judicial authority of the Canton of Vaud, the Cantonal Court assumes the role of judicial authority and management of the Vaud judicial order. It is made up of 45 cantonal judges and substitute judges, elected for a term, as well as a registry serving its various branches. The Cantonal Court employs over 150 staff and is looking for a clerk at the Court of Public Law. Responsibilities Draft complete judgments autonomously based on reports or instructions from the judge, and in some cases without prior instructions Participate in hearings, and where applicable, take minutes and publish decisions; you will find more detailed information in the specifications. Qualifications in law or an equivalent university title Several years of professional experience preferred A sense of public service and responsibilities A penchant for drafting judicial decisions and taking minutes Excellent spelling, mastery of typing; rigor, precision, and discretion Very good stress resistance A marked interest in public law, particularly in tax law, public contributions law, and public procurement law As part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to present an excerpt from the debt collection registry as well as a criminal record of less than 3 months.
