LocationThe position is based at our project in Darlington, ON. The successful candidate should be local to Darlington, Oshawa, or surrounding areas, or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities- Assist in developing and maintaining the comprehensive work package with construction and engineering teams.
- Provide status reports on project milestones and schedule adjustments.
- Coordinate the preparation and delivery of project documents, design drawings, as-builts, and turnover documents.
- Ensure construction activities adhere to policies, standards, and procedures.
- Facilitate effective communication between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution.
- Forecast and track change orders and scope modifications.
- Manage site procurement activities, including material validation, requisition preparation, and traceability.
- Establish and maintain interfaces with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Develop detailed work plans with construction leads.
- Maintain high standards of final product quality.
- Conduct regular site inspections and meetings with project personnel.
- Perform safety inspections and promote safety standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Post-secondary education in Engineering or a related Technology diploma, civil discipline preferred.
- 3-5 years of project engineering experience in construction or EPC environments.
- Experience with Nuclear Quality Programs is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Meet deadlines and work productively.
- Communicate professionally with team members and stakeholders.
- Work safely, following all instructions and policies.
- Availability for overtime and weekend work as needed.
