Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Social Worker in the Children's Duty & Assessment Team in Nottingham, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing support, and ensuring that children's needs are met in a timely and effective manner. Your expertise will help create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and their families in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations of children's needs.
  • Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Engaging with children and families to provide support, advice, and guidance.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and working collaboratively with partner organizations.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in duty and assessment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
