Locum Clerk for Local Councils (CiLCA Ready)

Recently the Norfolk Association of Local Councils has been inundated with requests for locum and full-time clerks. There is a clear shortage of either qualified or experienced clerks and we are looking to address that issue in the long term by training clerks to CiLCA level who will be primarily attached to and working for Norfolk ALC.

To address the immediate difficulties however, we would like to hear from any qualified/experienced clerks interested in being listed in a Locum Services directory offering clerk support services to our members.

Clerks are a vital component of first tier local government, offering support and guidance to town and parish councils. We would be recruiting from areas throughout Norfolk to keep travelling time down to a minimum.

Norfolk ALC would manage the bookings and invoices admin, provide contact details and any other support required.

If any clerk feels they would like to be part of our local council support service backed by the National Association, in the first instance, please register your interest through the County Officer with details of qualifications, experience and locality.
