Job Description
High View Children's Services is a residential children's home provider that provides care and support to children and young people between the ages of eight and seventeen.

Our homes accommodate children and young people who have suffered significant trauma and as a result, require support with their social, emotional, mental health and complex behavioural needs.

We aim to consistently provide the highest standards of individual and personalised care for all young people that come to live in our homes. This is achieved through an ethos of high aspiration, placement stability from our 'team around the child' approach, and our inspiring environment.

Our team of support workers are fulfilled by the idea of affecting even the smallest of positive changes in our children, we therefore celebrate every achievement, no matter how small.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of the children we care and support.

Your role will involve providing social and emotional care, role modelling appropriate adult and child relationships and providing young people with an opportunity to develop and grow through individually focussed support packages.

We are rated as 'Good' in all areas by our regulator Ofsted.

Our service operates 24/7, 365 days a year, therefore, you will be required to work an average of 40 hours per week or 173 average hours per month, encompassing 16 hour shifts on a rolling shift pattern of 2 on and 4 off starting at 07:00 and finishing at 23:00, with a requirement to cover an average of 5 sleep in night shifts per month (this may at times be more or less, dependant on the needs of the home), paid at £50 per night. Occasional overtime available with rotas prepared a minimum of 1 month in advance. There is an additional 'At-Call' facility where staff are paid an additional retainer of £35 to be available for a period of 24 hours, should the home require extra support or cover.

There is also an opportunity to attain a fully funded Level 3 Diploma qualification in Children & Young People (Residential). This is subject to the companies training agreement.

Exclusive and dynamic benefits including a robust induction package, career development opportunities, pension and 28 days or 224 hours annual leave.

You will play a vital role in helping our young people to develop their independence and improve their present and future quality of life.

We are seeking individuals who are compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to providing exceptional residential childcare. If you have a passion for helping others and possess the necessary skills, we would love to hear from you.

Please note that previous experience in children's residential care home or a related field is required. We offer training and ongoing support to ensure that you have the knowledge and skills needed to excel in this role.

If you are looking for a rewarding career where you can really make a difference in children's lives, apply now to join our team as a Residential Support Worker.

We take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously and are committed to ensuring our young people supported by safe adults, as such we operate a strict and thorough safer recruitment policy and require all successful candidates to undergo Enhanced DBS checks. Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory safer recruitment checks.

Unfortunately we are not able to offer sponsorship opportunities.
