Catering Supervisor

Do you want to join a fantastic catering team? Are you passionate about creating great food and delivering excellent service?

As a Catering Supervisor, you will play an important part in our school kitchen team, leading and supporting the preparation and service of nutritious lunchtime meals.

Working in a Primary or Secondary school, your duties will be varied and may include supervising catering staff, assisting with food preparation and cooking, serving meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and ensuring kitchen equipment and service items are kept in excellent condition.

You will take pride in delivering a positive dining experience for pupils and colleagues by providing excellent customer service, following food safety procedures, and supporting the efficient day-to-day running of the kitchen.

The Role
  • Supervise and support catering staff to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen
  • Assist with the preparation, cooking and service of meals in line with agreed menus and standards
  • Ensure high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety are maintained at all times.
  • Monitor portion control, food quality and service standards to provide a positive dining experience.
  • Support stock control processes, including ordering, receiving and storing food and catering supplies.
  • Support the organisation of daily kitchen operations to ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently.
