About the Role

Are you passionate about crafting the perfect cup of coffee? St Martins School is seeking a dedicated and friendly Barista to join our team on a casual basis.

As the face of our coffee service, you will provide high-quality beverages and exceptional service to our staff and students in a vibrant school environment.

Location: St Martins School, Caerphilly

Start Date: September 2026

Nature of Role: Casual/Relief basis.

Hours: Flexible working pattern to be confirmed.

Cafe opening hours:

• Weekday mornings - 7:30am-8:30am
• Weekday evenings - likely 5pm-8pm
• Saturday and Sunday 8:30am to 2:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock
• Checking if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Complying with Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Qualifications

• Be a brilliant communicator and easily build relationships
• Have previous experience in customer service
• Strive for excellence in an eager and motivated manner
• Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers
• Have hands on experience with brewing equipment
• Possess the ability to work under pressure
• Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability
