Job Description
About the Role 
Are you passionate about crafting the perfect cup of coffee? St Martins School is seeking a dedicated and friendly Barista to join our team on a casual basis.
As the face of our coffee service, you will provide high-quality beverages and exceptional service to our staff and students in a vibrant school environment.
Location: St Martins School, Caerphilly
Start Date: September 2026
Nature of Role: Casual/Relief basis.
Hours: Flexible working pattern to be confirmed.
Cafe opening hours:
- Weekday mornings - 7:30am-8:30am
- Weekday evenings - likely 5pm-8pm
- Saturday and Sunday 8:30am to 2:30pm
- Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving customers
- Keeping the bar area clean
- Receiving and processing payments (cash and cards)
- Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
- Maintaining stock
- Checking if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Complying with Hygiene standards
- Complying with Health & Safety regulations
- Be a brilliant communicator and easily build relationships
- Have previous experience in customer service
- Strive for excellence in an eager and motivated manner
- Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers
- Have hands on experience with brewing equipment
- Possess the ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability
