We are looking to recruit a highly skilled investigator with a passion for improving the safety of patients using pharmacy services and maintaining public confidence in pharmacy.
The roleThis is an exciting opportunity to make a positive contribution to a dynamic, forward-thinking and successful team.
As a Case Officer you will be at the front line of the regulatory work we undertake. Working in a fast paced environment, you will be responsible for running your own case load, which will require you to identify regulatory concerns, plan and conduct a proportionate investigation, assess the risk posed to patients and the public, make recommendations as to the future progress of the case and work closely and collaboratively with colleagues across the inspection team, in house advocates, and external legal and regulatory agencies.
Important notice for applicantsAs part of our pre employment screening process, this role is subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. In addition, the GPhC will conduct Fitness to Practise (FtP) checks for any applicant who is currently, or has previously been, a registrant of the GPhC. Applicants will be asked to declare this during the application process and may be subject to further internal verification. Any findings may be considered as part of the recruitment decision.
The successful applicant will:- Possess proven analytical skills with a critical eye for detail and strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to assess and adapt your style dynamically when needed.
- Have experience or be able to demonstrate the ability and propensity of conducting complex and laborious investigations, whilst demonstrating a high level of integrity, skill, and professional judgement, particularly when dealing with sensitive or confidential matters.
- Understand the importance of building effective relationships, taking responsibility and working as a team. Be naturally curious and understand the bigger picture, recognising how their work contributes to team and organisational objectives.
- Take a person centred approach to resolving conflicts and disputes to deliver a high quality, customer focused service.
- Possess a fast paced and varied role, allowing you to broaden your skillset with access to development opportunities, career pathways and training within the organisation.
- Be able to demonstrate accuracy whilst working efficiently to meet challenging deadlines.
