Job Description

About the Role

As a Business Studies Teacher, you will deliver engaging and relevant lessons that develop student's knowledge of business concepts, real-world case studies, and commercial awareness. You will help learners understand how businesses operate in a dynamic and global economy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach topics such as marketing, finance, operations, human resources, and entrepreneurship
  • Support GCSE and A-Level Business Studies / BTEC Business qualifications
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress
  • Use real-world examples and case studies to enhance learning
  • Contribute to curriculum development within the department
  • Support enrichment activities such as enterprise projects or business competitions

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Degree in Business Studies, Economics, Finance, or related subject
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for business education
  • Ability to make lessons engaging and relevant to real-world contexts
  • Good classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student well being
  • Willingness to contribute to wider school and sixth form life
