Breakfast Chef Brig o' Doon Hotel Part Time

We are actively seeking a Breakfast Chef to join the team at the Brig o' Doon Hotel. Working 30 hours per week, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast for our residents and walk-in guests, assisting with prep work for service, and supporting the wider kitchen team with a variety of duties. The role will be based on 5 days over 7, working 6:00am - 12:00pm.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast items to established recipes and quality standards.
• Ensuring the kitchen is set up and equipped with all necessary ingredients and equipment before service begins.
• Working efficiently with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely breakfast service.
• Assisting with preparation for lunch service.
• Preparing afternoon teas.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and presentation throughout the kitchen.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen is highly beneficial.
• Experience as a Chef de Partie or Breakfast Chef is preferred.
• A creative approach to cooking, with an eye for detail.
• Experience preparing breakfast, soups, sauces, and afternoon teas.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for food and delivering high-quality dishes.
• The ability to work efficiently and remain calm under pressure.
