Job Description
Responsibilities / Role 
As the Biospecimens Coordinator, you'll oversee all operations of the human tissue repository, ensuring it runs efficiently and compliantly. You will:
- Procure, register, and store biological samples following SOPs
- Maintain accurate LIMS-based inventory ensuring full traceability
- Coordinate sample access, tracking, and distribution for internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct internal audits and support inspections to maintain compliance
- Work cross-functionally to integrate biospecimen data into pipelines
- Train and mentor staff on best practices for biospecimen handling
- BSc in Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or related discipline
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in research tissue banking, sample management, or lab operations
- Proactive understanding of HTA, GDPR, and biospecimen regulatory frameworks
- Industry experience is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with biorepository systems (LIMS)
- Deep understanding of biospecimen handling and quality assurance
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage sourcing and distribution logistics
