This is a *Lisbon* based role with an excellent immediate start within a global technology brand working on supporting 350,000+ employees across HR, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and other corporate functions.

About the Role

Our client is developing an internal AI Chatbot platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support 350,000+ employees across HR, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and other corporate functions. The platform enables natural language queries on internal data and aims to reduce dependence on Microsoft Copilot licenses.

We are seeking a hands-on Looker Developer to join the AI team. This role focuses on building and maintaining the LookML semantic layer, models, explores, dashboards, and supporting Looker administration to empower data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain LookML models, views, explores, joins, and refinements linked to BigQuery and other GCP data sources

• Own Looker semantic layer, governed metrics, and explore designs

• Manage Looker administration including permissions, content management, and performance troubleshooting

• Build high-quality dashboards and analytics for ChatBot and internal stakeholders

• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientists on data pipelines and model requirements

• Handle enhancement requests, support tickets, and continuous platform improvements

• Ensure data accuracy, query optimization, and metric consistency

• Stay updated with Looker product releases and new features

Mandatory Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on LookML development (views, explores, joins, refinements)

• Experience with Looker Admin tasks: permissions, content/space management, performance troubleshooting

• Strong SQL skills including complex joins, CTEs, and query optimization

• Proven experience in data modelling, semantic layer design, dimensions, and governed metrics

• Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses: BigQuery preferred (Snowflake/Redshift/Synapse also acceptable)

• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation

• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)

• Hands-on, support-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataform, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions)

• Knowledge of dbt or Dataform for data transformation pipelines

• Basic Python Scripting for ETL/data validation support

• Agile/Scrum delivery experience working in cross-functional teams

• Exposure to AI/LLM or chatbot analytics support

• Experience with enterprise BI governance and scaling Looker in large organizations

• Looker Developers (2 members including you)

• Product and Project leadership based in Portugal
