Band 6 Nurse - Sexual Health and Contraception Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Nurse to join our dynamic Sexual Health and Contraception Service at BHRUT.

As part of our skilled and welcoming nursing team, you will be supported to develop specialist expertise and work towards becoming an autonomous practitioner within a friendly, forward thinking environment. We are committed to supporting your professional growth and helping you build confidence in delivering high quality sexual health care.

We are seeking a nurse who demonstrates:

  • A genuine passion for improving the health and wellbeing of the local community.
  • An interest in, and understanding of, sexual health and contraception.
  • Commitment to learning new skills and developing within the speciality.
  • Experience working within Sexual Health and Contraception services.
  • Confidence in working under Patient Group Directives (PGDs).

Desirable:

  • Competency as a subdermal implant fitter.

Main duties of the job

As an experienced nurse in sexual health and reproductive services the Registered Nurse will provide clinical care for presenting groups of patients including history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care.

To provide high standards of evidence based patient centred sexual health care whilst ensuring that resources within the clinical setting are used efficiently and effectively.
