Location: Upper Heyford

Employment Type: Permanent

Working Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 08:00am - 17:00pm (42.5-hour week) with weekend overtime available

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail driven prepper / polisher to join the expanding automotive service team. The role ensures vehicles are finished to the highest standard across a variety of makes and models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare vehicles for paintwork, including sanding, masking, priming, and filler work
  • Polish, buff, and finish surfaces to achieve a flawless final presentation
  • Identify and repair small imperfections such as scratches, chips, and dents before painting
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer and customer standards of quality and safety
  • Maintain a clean, organised workspace and adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Work closely with paint technicians and bodyshop colleagues for smooth workflow
  • Accurately use tools and materials in line with company and manufacturer guidelines
Qualification and Experience
  • IMI or City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in vehicle repair, refinishing, or bodyshop work
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in prepping, polishing or vehicle refinishing
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation and finishing techniques
  • Full UK/EU driving licence required
