HGV Mechanic

We are seeking a highly competent and self-motivated HGV Mechanic to join our operation on a part-time basis. Working with a mixed fleet of HGVs, 3.5t vans and cars , you will take responsibility for ensuring our vehicles remain safe, reliable and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out PMI inspections , scheduled servicing and reactive repairs
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with accuracy and efficiency
Perform bodywork repairs , fibreglass repairs and touch-up painting
Complete small vehicle checks and repairs across the mixed fleet
Undertake welding tasks and tyre re-cutting where required
Present vehicles for MOT , ensuring all preparation is completed
Work independently, maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety

About You:

Fully competent mechanic with strong diagnostic ability
Confident working alone and managing your own workload
Experience across HGV, light commercial and car fleets
Able to repair, replace and resolve issues in a timely, methodical manner
Must hold a Class 1 (C+E) licence
Reliable, proactive and committed to maintaining fleet quality

Hours & Pay:

Part time - 3 days per week (ideal)
Competitive rate based on experience
