Job Description
Associate Director - Investigations and Disputes

The Role:
You will manage and lead multiple complex dispute-support investigations simultaneously, taking ownership of projects from scoping through delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading a portfolio of arbitration, litigation and other dispute-related investigations.
  • Managing, mentoring and quality assuring the work of junior team members.
  • Engaging human sources where required and contributing to the development of the client's global source network.
  • Producing client ready written deliverables that require minimal editing or supervision.
  • Reviewing and quality controlling the work of peers and junior colleagues.
  • Working closely with clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with objectives and to adapt to changes in case strategy.
  • Managing project budgets and overseeing the financial performance of engagements.
  • Acting as a client facing lead through briefings, written updates and formal reports.
  • Scoping, drafting and pricing proposals, and proactively supporting business development by engaging with existing and prospective clients.
Qualifications & Capabilities
  • Exceptional fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience in dispute support investigations.
  • Proven experience managing and developing human source relationships.
  • Strong understanding of legal strategies, with the ability to design investigative plans that support clients at different stages of a dispute.
  • High commercial awareness and the ability to analyse complex commercial issues.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical capability.
  • Sound professional judgement in both project delivery and client management.
  • A proactive, self motivated approach with the ability to deliver high quality work with minimal oversight.
  • A strong interest in disputes and up to date knowledge of developments in international arbitration and litigation.
  • Developing people management capability is desirable.
  • Additional language skills are an advantage.
