Contract:37.5 hours per week

Are you passionate about retail and making a difference in your community? The St Vincent de Paul Society (England & Wales) is looking for a dynamic and motivatedAssistant Store Managerto support the day-to-day operations of our Bradford store.
About the RoleAs Assistant Store Manager, you'll work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, maximise Gift Aid, and ensure the shop is welcoming, safe, and well-organised. You'll play a key role in supporting volunteers, managing stock, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Store Manager in achieving income and profit targets
- Maximise Gift Aid contributions and local stock donations
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and stock rotation
- Ensure daily cash reconciliation and compliance with SVP policies
- Assist in volunteer recruitment, training, and retention
- Contribute to social media and online sales initiatives
- Act as key holder and Fire Marshal
- Deliver first-class customer service and support community engagement
Essential:
- Retail experience with a proven track record of meeting targets
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good level of English, Maths, and IT proficiency
- Organisational skills and a proactive approach to income generation
- Empathy with the values and ethos of the SVP
Desirable:
- Experience in charity retail and working with volunteers
- Knowledge of EPOS systems, social media, and online selling
- Visual merchandising and team-building skills
- Experience with KPIs and health & safety in larger retail units
