Salary: £40,501 - £47,639 Hours: 36 per week Working pattern - you will work on a rota with a mixture of early, day and late shifts.

Oxgangs House is a 7 bedded community house, inclusive of a semi independent flat, offering a safe, nurturing and caring environment. You will join a dedicated team focussed on making changes to improve outcomes for our young people.
You will work within our management team at Oxgangs to support our young people in offering a safe and nurturing environment and will support our dedicated staff team committed to improving outcomes.
The role of Assistant Residential Manager is a key position for supporting, caring and upholding the rights of children and young people and the ethos of CEC. This is an exciting time to join the team as we continue to build on strong models of care, specifically trauma informed practice, relationship based practice and Edinburgh's Promise.
We are seeking a child centred, resilient and motivated individual to positively role model and make a difference in the lives of young people. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting young people and staff, preferably within children's residential services, and a commitment to promoting children's rights and advocating on their behalf. Good communication, interpersonal skills, reliability and adaptability with a clear focus on improving outcomes for our young people are essential.
Qualifications and experience:
• SVQ Level 4/HNC or equivalent in Child Care/Social Care or related area, or other relevant qualification at SCQF Level 7 or above.
• Requirement to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of employment and under the relevant category.

The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. An overseas criminal record check will be required for individuals who have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years.
