Fleet Engineer / Asset Engineer (Rail / Mechanical)Rugby (Ocasional travel to Derby & Worksop)£45,500-£51,500 + BenefitsImmediate Start Safety Critical RoleThe Role An urgent opportunity to take ownership of a locomotive fleet, focusing on maintenance, performance, and compliance.
- Manage planned & reactive maintenance
- Review and sign off maintenance work
- Support upgrades, modifications & engineering changes
- Work closely with engineering, stores & reliability teams
- Based in Rugby with occasional travel
- Mechanical engineering background (rail, HGV, or similar)
- Hands-on maintenance experience
- Understanding of preventative & reactive maintenance
- Level 3 (NVQ / HNC / HND) minimum
- Strong organisation & communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- £51,500 salary
