Job Description
Job Summary

Apprentice Maintenance Technician role based in Cork, Ireland. This role joins the engineering group as part of the site Maintenance Team supporting the Knees, Hips and Shoulder markets. You will work with the maintenance team leader and a dedicated mentor to complete assigned maintenance activities while progressing through the apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non routine electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs to support continuous manufacturing operations and minimize downtime.
  • Carry out the preventive maintenance programme to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned interruptions.
  • Support engineering development activities and work with multi functional teams to complete projects and equipment changes.
  • Identify and contribute cost and technical improvements through the department's continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency.
  • Follow GMP and SOP requirements and provide timely, accurate reporting on maintenance and project activities.
  • Liaise with suppliers and help source spare parts and materials to ensure maintenance tasks proceed without delay.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Leaving Certificate with a pass in Math and English.
  • Proven eagerness to learn and a clear dedication to completing the apprenticeship program.
  • Interest in electrical and mechanical activities and basic hands on or practical proficiency.
  • Flexible, collaborative team player who communicates clearly and works well with mentors and colleagues.
  • Methodical, performance and results focused with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow GMP and SOP processes.
  • Commitment to safe, environmentally responsible work practices and accurate documentation of your activities.
