Analyst (Product)
Posted 2 days 5 hours ago by The Telegraph
The Product Analytics team helps designers, developers, and product managers make better decisions using data.
As an Analyst, you'll play a key role in turning data into insight. You'll work with product teams to understand user behaviour, measure the impact of new features, and help shape the direction of our digital products.
This is an entry level role designed for someone early in their analytics career who is eager to learn, develop their technical skills, and grow into a trusted partner for product teams.
Key Responsibilities- Support product teams by analysing user behaviour across our digital products, helping to inform decision making
- Build and maintain dashboards to track key performance metrics and surface meaningful trends
- Design and evaluate experiments, including A/B tests, to improve product features and user experience
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non technical stakeholders
- Investigate trends and anomalies in user engagement and subscription performance
- Collaborate with senior analysts to scope and deliver deeper analytical projects
- Contribute to improving data quality, definitions and documentation across the team
You'll quickly get up to speed with our data tools, datasets and key metrics, while building strong relationships with product managers and stakeholders across the business. Early on, you'll contribute to existing dashboards and recurring reporting, developing a solid understanding of how data informs our decisions.
As you grow in the role, you'll begin to independently answer analytical questions, delivering clear insights that support product and commercial decisions. You'll also play a key role in experiment analysis, helping to interpret results and shape future improvements.
Over time, you'll take ownership of small to medium sized analytical projects from end to end, proactively identifying opportunities to improve product performance. You'll become a trusted partner to at least one product area, using data to influence strategy and drive impact.
Qualifications- Experience working with data (e.g. through internships, academic projects, or previous roles)
- Basic knowledge of SQL or a willingness to learn quickly
- Confidence working with spreadsheets (e.g. Excel or Google Sheets)
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non technical audiences
- Curiosity and a problem solving mindset - you enjoy asking "why?"
- Strong attention to detail
