Job Description
Overview

Required for September 2026, we wish to appoint an enthusiastic and well motivated individual to join our team of Year Support Assistants. The post holder will provide administrative support to the Head of Year and support students to help them achieve their targets. This varied role includes working closely with students, parents, teaching staff and external agencies linked with the Academy.

The role suits a supportive person who enjoys a busy and varied workload. The ideal candidate demonstrates a positive 'can do' attitude and possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Head of Year.
  • Support students to achieve their academic targets.
  • Work closely with students, parents, teaching staff and external agencies.
  • Follow the working pattern: Monday to Thursday 8:00 am-4:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am-3:30 pm.
Qualifications
  • Effective communicator.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Well motivated, approachable, and positive attitude.
  • Good relationship building skills with students, colleagues and parents.
  • Excellent IT skills; experience with Arbor or similar MIS desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to work unsupervised and plan/ prioritise workload.
  • Ability to relate well to young people.
  • Flexible in approach to the requirements of the post.
