Advanced Paediatric Dietitian

Role OverviewJoin the Paediatric Dietetic team at Cambridge University National Hospital Trust. The role is split between paediatric gastroenterology (3 days/week) and neonatal intensive care unit (2 days/week). The post supports the Paediatric Gastroenterology multidisciplinary team and tertiary level Neonatal ICU alongside Band 7 dietitian.
Main Duties- Provide tertiary gastroenterology care: intestinal failure, home parenteral nutrition, IBD, coeliac disease, eating disorders.
- Support neonatal ICU with nutrition for critically unwell infants, parenteral and enteral feeding.
- Service development, education, CPD, audit and research leading to service review.
- Supervise junior staff, student training and specialist skill development.
- Degree/Master's in Advanced Dietetic Practice or Paediatric Dietetic Practice.
- Recognised training in paediatric gastroenterology and neonatal dietetics.
- Strong CPD portfolio demonstrating paediatric and specialist clinical training.
- Significant experience in paediatric dietetics, including gastroenterology and neonatal areas.
- Ability to work independently at Band 7 level.
- Experience with audit, research, education sessions and critical care settings.
- Current knowledge of paediatric and neonatal nutrition practices.
- Good clinical practice and ability to manage complex caseloads.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Time management, organisation and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Calm under pressure and able to convey complex ideas clearly.

Salary£49,387 to £56,515 per year, pro rata.
