Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Derbyshire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of adults facing various challenges, including physical disabilities, mental health issues, and age-related conditions. As an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing clients' needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions that promote independence and enhance quality of life.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  • Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Providing education and support to clients and their families regarding treatment options and strategies for daily living.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Proven experience in adult occupational therapy, preferably in a community or rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
