1-2 day Nanny in Bath

Job Description

A returning client to Harmony at Home is looking for a part-time Nanny in Bath. The family of four is seeking someone for a full day on Friday and possibly a half day on Wednesday. The nanny will facilitate calm drop-off and reliable collection from a nearby school for their 4 year old, and take sole charge of the 2 year old, arranging playgroups or fun activities for the morning or afternoon. The ideal candidate will enjoy cooking for the children while they colour or play, and be proactive in supporting daily household tasks such as washing children's clothes, sorting toys, or tidying after playtime.

The 4 year old is starting school in September; the siblings enjoy park and forest school type activities. The role involves supporting the eldest during this transition while also helping the youngest maintain routine in their absence. A calm nature, intuition, and constant vigilance are essential.

The position can last until the end of the year and may become a long term role for the right person.

• Hours/Days of Work: Friday 8 am-6 pm; Wednesday either 8 am-1 30 pm or 12 pm-6 pm

• Pets: Grandparents have a friendly dog who visits regularly

• Salary: £17 gross per hour

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as a nanny
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate (12 hour) required
• Level 3 or equivalent in childcare preferred
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
• Minimum of 2 professional referees, including current or last employer, contactable immediately
• Appropriate professional insurance preferred (e.g., nanny insurance)
