Zero Hour Support Worker

Credo Care is a long-established and leading Independent Fostering Agency. Since the year 2000, we are proud to have helped hundreds of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities, including complex medical and behavioural needs, to join a loving family home where they can thrive.

We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Support Worker to assist a young male, who is a wheelchair user, with his morning personal care routine. Duties will include:

• Supporting with showering and dressing
• Helping him get ready for school
• Using a hoist

Requirements for the role

• You will have previous experience caring for children or young adults with additional needs and be committed to provide outstanding care.
• You must be IT literate with a good standard of written communication as you will be required to submit, via our online systems, concise and accurate reports on work with the children.
• You must be a UK resident with the right to live and work in the UK.

Hours

06.30 - 07.30 Monday - Friday during school term time, with additional hours available at weekends and during school holidays.

Pay

£13.50 per hour (pay rise pending) for direct client time & travelling time to and from home to work, in addition to 0.45p per mile travelled for all journeys. This rate also applies to:

• travel to/from the place to undertake the work
• your supervision time with your SSW (generally an hour)
• training (generally an hour for online training courses)
