Youth Worker
Posted 6 hours 23 minutes ago by Volunteer Centre
We are looking to recruit either a Qualified Youth Worker or an individual who is willing to work towards a recognised Youth Work qualification.
In this role, you will engage, support, and inspire young people to develop their social, emotional, and personal capabilities, with a strong focus on improving wellbeing and reducing the risk factors associated with youth violence. This post is primarily funded through the Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP) and focuses on working with some of the most vulnerable and hardest-to-reach young people in South Leeds.
You will work across a variety of settings, including Alternative Provision, schools, community venues, and through detached youth work within local neighbourhoods. A key aspect of the role is building trusted, positive relationships with young people who may be disengaged from mainstream education, services, or support systems. We are looking for someone who can take a creative, flexible, and persistent approach to engagement meeting young people where they are, both physically and emotionally.
How to ApplyClosing Date for applications - Midday Friday 22nd May 2026.
