Youth Support Worker

As such, our Early Help Targeted Youth Service, is a vital component in the development and wellbeing of many young people, particularly those who are going through challenges in their home life, education or social environment.

Who we are

Public Health Warrington, commissions Warrington Borough Councils, Early Help Targeted Youth Service to deliver their agenda regarding Young People's Health and Wellbeing. Our team along with other specialist services, provide support, information, and guidance to young people across the borough. Our service aim is to support young people to make sense of the world they live in, and to understand risks and the potential impact those risks have on their health and future outcomes.

What we do

This service enables young people to succeed by providing high quality informal education opportunities to promote their personal and social development. We offer support to schools, colleges, and other young people's providers within the community. We operate inside and outside of school times and can use resources such as our Mobile Youth Base to deliver programmes of work out in the wider Community and Schools.

This is a challenging, but highly rewarding job, which will allow you to make a real difference to the lives of young people.

This is a fixed term 37 hours a week position including daytime delivery, evenings and some weekends.

Location of the post will be in the East locality of Warrington.

What's needed?

We have an opportunity for youth workers with a L3 JNC Qualification and / or those who have experience working and supporting young people without a youth work qualification to join us and make a tangible difference to at risk and vulnerable young people's lives.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

DBS clearance is required.
