Youth Helper (Hucknall)

About the role

Do you want to help the youth of today become the lifesavers of tomorrow? Our mission is to teach young people across the country how to save lives in a fun, friendly, and safe environment. St John is one of the largest youth organisations in the country and many of our young volunteers go on to careers in health and/or social care. Full training is provided and this is a great opportunity to develop your own skills, knowledge and build on your CV while having fun, making friends and supporting your community.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop young volunteers through teaching first aid, running games and activities, and encouraging participation in craft, singing/dancing, history, science or caring for people/animals.
• Attend weekly meetings, at least two per month, during term time.

Commitment

2 hours in an evening, once a week during school term times.

Locations

• Monday evenings - South Normanton
• Tuesday evenings - Hucknall
