Job Description
What will the role look like?

The SHAP programme will support young people aged 18-25 to bridge the gaps in provision for young people who typically 'fall through the net' due to the complexity of their needs. Young people are often excluded from existing provision and struggle to navigate pathways in order to address their wider support needs. Through SHAP, BARCA Navigators will strive to have enhanced engagement with young people, taking a no wrong door approach and continuing support despite periods of crisis and disengagement. The SHAP offer will strive to improve the mental health of young people in Leeds, support them to address their substance use and prevent rough sleeping, reduce offending and anti-social behaviour as well as addressing long-term housing needs.

What we are looking for?

The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a person-centred way and be able to build positive relationships with clients. Please see the person specification for more information.

Barca-Leeds is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. It is the organisation's policy to require the successful applicant to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Check at a level appropriate to the role, before appointment is confirmed. The disclosure of a criminal conviction will not necessarily exclude candidates from appointment.

Please note - to apply you must have the right to work in the UK. We are currently unable to accept applications from individuals requiring a Skilled Worker Visa.
