Year 6 Teacher - Billingham

Location: Billingham
Pay: £145 - £232.57 per day
Hours: Monday - Friday Full-time
Start Date: September

About the Role

Milk Education is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Billingham. This role is ideal for a passionate teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 2, support pupil progress, and prepare children for the transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Year 6
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet learners' needs
  • Support children with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and school leaders
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers about pupil progress
  • Promote positive behaviour and a love of learning
  • Prepare pupils for SATs and transition to secondary education
Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2 (Year 6)
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum, SATs, and assessment
  • Ability to differentiate lessons for all abilities, including SEND
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
  • Passionate about inspiring young learners and preparing them for secondary school
