Year 5 Primary Teacher

Year 5 Primary TeacherTradewind are recruiting!Are you an experienced educator who thrives on creating a structured, positive, and high-energy learning environment? We are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Class Teacher to join the team at a Blackpool school.Starting in September 2026, this role is expected to continue until for the Autumn term. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on a vibrant group of juniors during a pivotal year of their primary education.

Candidate Profile
  • Commands the Classroom: Establishes clear boundaries and high expectations from day one, using positive reinforcement to keep students engaged and on track.
  • Delivers Excellence: Has experience of planning and delivering creative, rigorous lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities.
  • Builds Relationships: Can quickly build rapport with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure a seamless transition for the class.
  • Adaptable & Resilient: Remains calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
  • Full teaching responsibilities for a Year 5 class, including planning, assessment, and reporting.
  • Implementing the school's behaviour policy with consistency and fairness.
  • Preparing students for the transition into Year 6 by fostering independence and academic confidence.
  • Participating in staff meetings and school-wide events.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
  • A strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build quick rapport with students.
  • A commitment to the inclusive and community-focused ethos of Blackpool schools.
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
