The start date is to be confirmed but aims to be as soon as possible. Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum is essential as is the ability to support pupils with the transition from Reception to Y1.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons appropriate for Year 1 students.
• Assess and record students' progress and prepare them for any necessary tests.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
• Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies, and school regulations.
• Participate in meetings, training, and planning cooperatively with peers and other staff members.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching Year 1 or similar levels preferred.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and the ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
