A welcoming Primary School in Worcester is seeking a confident and experienced Year 1 Teacher to join their team from May until October half-term, on a full-time basis.

This Year 1 Teacher role is ideal for a dedicated practitioner with a strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and the confidence to take on full class teacher responsibilities. You will play a key role in supporting pupils through a vital stage in their transition from Early Years into Key Stage 1.

As a Year 1 Teacher in this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 national curriculum
• Marking and assessing pupils' work, providing clear feedback to support progress
• Tracking and monitoring pupil attainment and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
• Preparing for and attending parents' evenings, providing clear updates on pupil progress
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders
• Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing

To be successful in this Year 1 Teacher role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1
• A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment expectations
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A proactive, organised, and professional approach
• The ability to plan, differentiate, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge all learners
