Year 1 Teacher

Start Date: September 2026Location: Waltham ForestFull-timeSalary: M1 - M6 (Outer London)

About the role/school A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate Year 1 Teacher to join a high-performing and welcoming primary school in Waltham Forest this September. This KS1 Teacher role is based within a large and well-established school known for its excellent academic standards and strong phonics outcomes. Pupils make exceptional progress, with Year 1 phonics results significantly above the national average.

The school has a warm, inclusive ethos and a strong emphasis on early learning, making this an ideal setting for a dedicated Year 1 Teacher. As a KS1 Teacher, you will join a supportive KS1 team with excellent resources and collaborative planning.

This KS1 Teacher position would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to develop in a high-achieving school.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Support phonics development, early reading, and numeracy, while ensuring all pupils make strong progress.
  • Work closely with support staff and parents to create a positive learning environment.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience as a Year 1 Teacher or KS1 Teacher
  • Strong knowledge of phonics and early learning
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
