Year 1 Teacher - Isle of Sheppey

Permanent Full-Time Start Date: September (or sooner by agreement)

A friendly and supportive primary school on the Isle of Sheppey is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a wonderful opportunity to guide pupils through an important transition year, building on their Early Years foundations while introducing the structure and expectations of Key Stage 1.

About the Role

• You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils feel confident, supported and motivated to succeed.

• Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons
• Supporting pupils' phonics, literacy and numeracy development
• Monitoring and assessing progress effectively
• Preparing pupils for the Phonics Screening Check
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants must:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have a recognised Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher qualification
• Hold GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (Grade 4/C or above) or recognised equivalents
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Show confident classroom and behaviour management skills
