Responsibilities

• Assess student progress through observations and informal assessments, providing feedback to support their development
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of learning and maintain effective communication with colleagues and parents

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, student work, and lesson outcomes for reporting purposes
• Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to different classroom settings and teaching styles as required

Requirements

• Proven experience working with primary school children, ideally within a Year 1 setting or similar early years environment
• Strong understanding of the national curriculum for Key Stage 1 (KS1) education
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage young learners effectively
• Ability to manage behavior positively and confidently, fostering a respectful classroom atmosphere
• University experience or relevant educational background that supports effective teaching practices
• Flexibility to adapt quickly to different classrooms and teaching requirements
