Salary: £33,000 per annum

The Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Industrial Cleaner to join our team on a permanent night shift pattern, working Sunday to Thursday from 10:00pm to 6:00am.

Based within a Household Waste Treatment Facility, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of plant equipment and work areas ensuring the equipment is cleaned and clear of debris following each day of production, which supports our contractual commitments, as well as maintain optimum process conditions. This is a hands on role in a fast paced industrial environment and requires a strong commitment to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and maintaining a range of processing equipment, including:
  • Trommels
  • Ballistic separators
  • General plant and building structures
  • Removing and disposing of mixed general waste safely and efficiently
  • Ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard
  • Adhering to site health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times
  • Supporting operational requirements as directed by site management
  • Physically demanding role involving manual handling and physical exertion
  • Regular working at height may be required
  • The plant environment can become hot during operations
  • Full training will be provided, including any site specific or externally accredited training where required

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a positive, can do attitude and a strong focus on workplace safety.

  • Strong awareness of health and safety practices
  • Ability to undertake physically demanding work
  • Reliable, hardworking, and self motivated
  • Previous experience in industrial cleaning, waste management, recycling, or a similar environment
  • Experience working within an industrial or manufacturing setting

No previous waste industry experience is required, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
