Workshop Engineer (Specialist Electric Vehicles)

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established supplier of various types of specialist electric vehicles who are to bring on a new engineer to work out of their workshop in Greater Manchester. With a competitive salary & overtime opportunities this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a new role with an expanding company.

Responsibilities

• Servicing the company's fleet of electric trucks, road vehicles, tuggers and other specialist vehicles
• Developing a knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of different equipment
• Preparing vehicles and equipment before delivery to customers
• Fixing and servicing other related material handling & specialist equipment
• Liaising with the technical support team to ensure all service is carried out efficiently

Requirements

The company prefers an individual from a similar background either in electric vehicles or material handling background due to the requirements of the role. They would also be open to applicants from a number of other similar backgrounds provided you have a strong electrical and mechanical understanding. Given that they also supply cleaning equipment, an individual from this sector would also be a possibility as would individuals from other sectors with strong pneumatics experience. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in Greater Manchester.
