Job Description
Role Overview

This vital role will ensure all HGV maintenance, inspections, and repairs are scheduled, documented, and completed in line with DVSA regulations, DAF dealer standards, and customer expectations.

As Workshop Compliance Planner, you will take ownership of the planning of PMI's and MOT visits whilst managing the scheduling of repairs and manufacturer recalls efficiently through our workshop. Knowledge of DAF vehicles and the DAFcheck system is most desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule all routine PMIs, MOTs, servicing using the DAFcheck system.
  • Manage the customer defect reporting system, ensuring all reported issues are logged, prioritised, and scheduled for repair.
  • Liaise with workshop controller to allocate resources and available labour hours.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle records, inspection documentation, and service histories in compliance with DVSA.
  • Ensure all work is recorded correctly using DAFcheck.
  • Support internal and external audits with timely and accurate data and documentation.
  • Monitor workshop performance to ensure service level agreements and DAF dealer KPIs are achieved.
  • Management of DAF vehicle recalls, customer contact and scheduling.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience in the transport industry, particularly within a main dealership workshop.
  • Extensive knowledge of vehicle compliance requirements, including DVSA, O Licence, and safety inspection regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with customers.
  • Knowledge of DAF Trucks systems including DAFcheck.
  • Strong planning and organisational abilities, with the capability to manage multiple schedules and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Dealer management systems (Kerridge).
  • CPC in Road Transport Operations or equivalent.
  • Technical knowledge of HGV components and workshop operations.
